Weekend Scoop (Apr 1-3)

March 31, 2011 //  by Uju//  2 Comments

Have an action packed weekend and don’t forget to celebrate Mum!

Fri-Sun: Zippo’s Circus: Horsepower at Finsbury Park, N4
Equestrian acts combine with motorcycle stunt drivers in the Globe of Death. Babe-friendly? We imagine so. 5pm & 7.30pm (Fri), 3pm & 6pm (Sat), 11am & 3pm (Sun).

Sat: Thanks Mum! at the Foundling Museum, 40 Brunswick Square WC1
Create a blooming lovely bouquet just in time for Mother’s Day. Workshop 1-4pm, free. And it’s the last chance to catch the photo exhibition Baby Love on single mothers, interviews by CBeebies’ Cerrie Burnell (exhibit ends Apr 3)

Sun: Raise the Roof at Horniman Museum, Forest Hill SE23
Spend Mum’s Day at the museum then be part of a flash mob and live concert of world music from the Raise the Roof Choir. 2.30-3.30pm, Gallery Square. Free

Day Trip
Fri-Sun: Florimania at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesley, Surrey KT8
Treat your mama to a special day out at these gorgeous surroundings for their annual floral extravaganza. Check out the ‘myths and legends’ themed displays in the palace, then head out to explore the famous gardens and historic maze. Admission £15.95 adult, £8 kids, under 5s free.

I wish I had known about your site when I lived in London! Some great stuff to do listed! We used to live around the corner from hampton court palace too, my mum would have loved that exhibition! Emma :)
