The babes were bouncing for joy yesterday morning as two new pets arrived in our household: a dog and a baby elephant.
No, it wasn’t a special delivery from London Zoo or the Animal Shelter.
They were blow-up toys I’d ordered from a company called Happy Hopperz.
Probably the coolest products I saw at last month’s Baby Show, Happy Hopperz had all eyes on their animal parade.
Unlike more modest stands, the Happy Hopperz team had chosen to display a mini safari’s worth of toys in front of their stall.
It was a smart move because no kid who passed could resist having a bounce. Rob, the director, revealed the Baby Show was their product launch.
They’d ordered 100 as a test run and had already sold out. Parents were queueing to sign up for the next batch.
Seeing as it was almost impossible to tear Ezra away from the pink dog he’d pounced on, I joined the growing list of pre-orders.
Adapted from the ’80s Space Hopper concept, Happy Hopperz are a range of inflatable creatures that come in a range of funky colours and shapes, each with ears/horns for little hands to grip.
These bouncers are great for stimulating the vestibular system, strengthening core muscles and coordination and generally having a laugh.
There’s much falling about when the little ones start bouncing so it’s best to use them where it’s safe to land. And of course, don’t let them hop off unsupervised – who knows where they’ll wind up?
Happy Hopperz are a great party piece. They’re cool, eye candy and serious fun. Mama wants one too!
**Prize Offer**
As soon as we set eyes on these toys, we wanted to spread the hoppiness. So Babes about Town has teamed up with Happy Hopperz to offer one of their bouncy beasties as a gift to a lucky reader.
Simply leave a comment below before the closing date Sun Mar 28 midnight GMT. Winner will be chosen at random and informed via email and on the blog.
