My other half and I are movie crazy peeps! But alas, having kids meant our film going days were non existant. We’ve managed, however to go see a few in this last year which has been heaven! We loved Avatar, we took the eldest with us to se it in 3D. But, with the new arrival in April I doubt we’ll see many more films actually IN the cinema! Unless we go to one of these kid friendly screenings..hmmm…. xx
I worked at a movie theater over the summer, so this is the first year in a long time that I’ve actually seen a lot of the nominated films! That said, I have a running list of ones I missed that I want to try to see before the big night. :)
Love to watch the Oscars, too – thanks for the rundown!
Hi Mesina, going to the cinema does feel like an outing to me still, especially after having kids. If you’re movie mad, consider hooking yourself up with a home projector and screen. We got one fairly cheap and it works a treat.
And do also try a kid-friendly screening. It’s not always a perfect setting to watch a film but I just love the fact that we have that option!
Oh you’re lucky Anne! I think what I would love is a stint as a projectionist. I’m happy loads of the films are out on DVD but planning to catch a few more this week so I can build up the anticipation…
Hi Theta Mom, I can’t wait for Oscars night. And I’m almost as excited about your upcoming big announcement ;-)
