Walk this Way
In Her Shoes Charity Walk, Southwark SE1

Put your best foot forward in this campaign led by international charity VSO to raise money for crucial research into maternal mortality. Mums, kids and dads too are invited to glam up in fancy shoes (you can decorate your own) for the ultimate power walk, along with actress Joanna Lumley, TV presenters Lorraine Kelly and Emily Maitlis, soul singer Beverley Knight, comic Miranda Hart and other celeb supporters.

Registration costs just £10 and each participant is urged to raise at least £100 for the cause. The 10km walk begins on Sun May 15 at 10.30am near the original St Thomas Hospital, between London Bridge and Borough Market. Visit the web site or the Facebook page for inspiration on how to pimp your footwear for the event.
