Mardi gras mamas

February 2, 2010 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Carnival comes early as London Mums celebrate their annual mardi gras party in Putney, SW15 this Friday.

Families from all nations are invited to shake a tail feather at the Italian-style carnevale. It’s being held at the popular kids’ edutainment centre Eddie Catz in the part of south London known as ‘Nappy Valley’.

Grown-ups get to mingle with area parents, sipping chilled wine and nibbling on Italian delicacies such as home-made ice cream by award-winning Oddono’s.

For kids, there’s face painting, costume parade, live entertainers and more. Prizes including a Mini Micro Scooter (the travel companion of choice for about 90 per cent of London preschoolers) will be handed out to the best fancy dress costumes.

All children will receive goody bags including T-shirts from child modelling agency Kids London.

The party runs from 5pm to 7pm on Friday February 5. Book fast to avoid missing out. Adults £4, kids £10 (inclusive of meals) and babies under 8 months go free.

Check out the web site to learn more about this event and the great team behind London Mums.
