Marvel Universe Live! Preview at Disney Store

May 10, 2016 //  by Uju//  1 Comment

Marvel Universe Live Spiderman

So we’re at this Marvel Universe Live! preview event** at Disney Store last weekend. The boys are having a go on a Disney Infinity video game. Beside them sits an unassuming looking dude, hair pulled back in a ponytail, giving them some pointers. Afterwards I nudge Ezra.

‘You know who that is, don’t you?
‘Who?’
‘Spiderman.’

Ezra gives me a look. ‘I don’t believe you.’

I don’t blame the boy for giving me the side-eye. After all Peter Parker doesn’t look much like a hero without his suit.

But soon all doubts were cast aside, as Spidey (aka Juan Cernada) revealed himself to be the web slinger in person. Later he took all the kids through some basic super hero training, complete with Spiderman stances, fitness drills and stunt moves. Our jaws hit the floor when Spiderman did a back flip without breaking a sweat… or, thankfully, anything else!

Ezra was now on alert for other Superheroes in disguise. ‘Is that Captain America?’ he asked, pointing accurately at the tall, broad-shouldered Clark Myers who plays the first Avenger on the show. Also present was Black Widow (Taylor Hemmeter) and the babes got to pose with the Marvel legends.

The Marvel Universe Live! UK tour coming to London in September is already promising to be IMMENSE. Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, Spiderman, Black Widow, Captain America, Loki, Iron Man and more… on one stage! Ticket sales are through the roof and they’ve added more dates for the London show (see below).

It’s being touted as the most technical advanced live show ever. Expect characters flying, motorcycles leaping and things blowing up in spectacular fashion!

Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada says: ‘The technology utilised in the show is not only going to blow your mind, it is going to take you to a whole new Marvel world like nothing British families have ever seen before.’
