Sixteen. Old enough to drink in a pub (with a responsible adult present). Old enough to have a driving licence (in America). Still can’t believe our youngest has crossed this milestone. He’s had a tough few months after a shock injury but he’s getting stronger every day and I’m so proud of how he’s handling the challenges. It’s a big year of exams coming up and I’m already looking forward to the summer when he’ll be walking with ease and we can have a proper holiday. Without further ado, let’s get into the big birthday Q&A, one of my favourite annual traditions.

1. What is your favourite colour? Red and black.
2. What is your favourite toy? I don’t have any toys.
3. What is your favourite fruit? Mango.
4. What is your favourite film? I don’t know. Whiplash.
5. What is your favourite thing to eat for lunch? Quesadilla.
6. What is your favourite outfit? I don’t have one. Jeans and a t-shirt, I guess.
7. What is your favourite game? Tekken.
8. What is your favourite snack? Dairy Milk Oreo.
9. What is your favourite animal? (looks bemused) A cheetah.
10. What is your favourite song? Timeless by The Weekend and Playboi Carti.
11. What is your favourite book? Don’t really know. I always liked Crossover by Kwame Alexander.
12. Who is your best friend? I have multiple friends.
13. What is your favourite cereal? Cheerios.
14. What is your favourite thing to do outside? Playing sports, I guess.
15. What is your favourite drink? Water.
16. What is your favourite holiday? Christmas.
17. What do you like to do first thing in the morning? Lie in bed.

What to Do for February Half Term in London 2025
