Enter an epic new adventure at the museum, as told by creatures that have shaped London history. Go back in time to the Roman era, through Medieval era and up to the modern day in a special tour narrated by the beasts themselves. You might recognise some of the voices of these animals (Brian Blessed, Kat Moss, Pam Ferris, Nish Kumar, Stephen Mangan, Angellica Bell and Joe Pasquale among others). This is a fully immersive digital installation with video projection mapping, created in partnership with Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Swanky goods on sale and kids’ activities are on offer at Coal Drops Yard and Granary Square over Easter holiday in London. Get crafty with the Amazing Art Cart, make an Easter tote bag, learn about urban gardening at the Skip Garden, try balloon art, or ride the Easter Express around Granary Square. On Easter weekend, there’s the Easter Canopy Market, with lots to buy and eat, live music and performance, petting zoo and more. It’s the Studio Tour’s biggest opening to date and we just can’t wait (although we’re not visiting until May). This Easter in London, head to the home of the Harry Potter movies, to see Gringotts Wizarding Bank open for business. See towering marble pillars, walk through the Lestrange vault, check out goblin ledgers and quills, and learn how the creative team dreamed up this visual extravaganza. The Prop-making Department, led by Pierre Bohanna, created over 210,000 coins for the final two films alone! Blackhorse Workshop and acclaimed artist Abigail Conway and set designer Soraya Gilanni Viljoen have transformed a disused school building into a ghost factory. Kids can clock in as factory workers, then be led by performers on an exhilarating journey through time and metalworking. They’ll tour different rooms and installations to learn about tin making as a sustainable alternative to plastic, and even produce their own tin objects. This Easter holiday in London is your chance to experience a live reenactment of one of the greatest stories of all time. Central London on Good Friday makes way for Jesus and his disciples, replaying his journey through crucifixion and resurrection. This powerful piece of street theatre features a cast of 100 (plus a donkey), and also plays at Guildford High St on Easter Saturday (12pm and 2.30pm). Grab your bubba (and mates/other half) and head to Screaming with Laughter, the original daytime comedy club for parents with babies under 1. The new line-up at Underbelly features Josie Long, Hatty Ashdown this Easter holiday in London (and Scummy Mummies in July!).
