Are you thinking about summer festivals yet? Or did the shock of recent snow put you in total hibernation mode? Here at Babes about Town, we like to plan ahead, especially if it involves stuff we’re excited about. And we can’t wait to tell you about NOZSTOCK FESTIVAL 2019 and what they’ve got lined up for families in The Hidden Valley.
Nozstock – The Hidden Valley
Set on a working farm in beautiful Herefordshire, Nozstock is a small festival with a big heart, earning multiple awards and nominations since its inception. One of the UK’s longest-running festivals, it’s known for brilliant bands, and a happy-go-lucky atmosphere.
For Nozstock Festival 2019, they’re beefing up Little Wonderland Kids Area and family camping, to make the festival even more accessible for party-loving families.
Ella Nosworthy, who runs Nozstock with her father and family, says: “We are still smiling, to be honest, after our amazing 20th anniversary last year. Selling out was really great and we had a packed site, it was lovely to see everyone having so much fun and to see so many kids on site really getting into everything! We wanted to announce some new elements for 2019, after listening to feedback and realising there are some simple things we can do to enhance the experience for families.”
Key updates for Nozstock Festival 2019 (and more to come):
-
-Expanding and improving family camping to accommodate more tents and more space;
-
-Increasing the number of toilets on site by 25% and introducing child-friendly toilets in family camping;
-
-Supplies available for family campers including loo roll, wet wipes, sanitiser, sun cream, plasters, toothpaste and site maps. Whilst stocks last!
-
-‘Save your space’ scheme. Booked to use family camping but want to make sure you have enough space to camp together? A limited amount of 5m2 pitches are available to hire to save your space;
-
-Little Wonderland Kids Area expanded to include more activities aimed at older children and a dedicated breastfeeding space.
In Little Wonderland, kids can take part in breakdancing, beatboxing and graffiti workshops, upcycling, animation, felt-making, t-shirt design and much more. That’s to add to Nozstock’s roster of music, standup comedy, pop-up theatre, cinema tent, street circus and other entertainment for all ages.
If you’ve never been to a festival with your children, Nozstock could be a great place to dip your toes in. It’s not so large that it becomes overwhelming, and don’t forget, kids under 12 go absolutely free for the entire weekend!
