Win a London Sightseeing Cruise #12DaysXmas2017

December 15, 2017 //  by Uju//  39 Comments

City Cruises afternoon tea tour London Eye

One of the most interesting ways to explore London is by boat. And if you’re on the river, you have to try a City Cruises sightseeing tour.

Sightseeing by Boat

Operating daily from Westminster pier, Tower pier, London Eye pier and Greenwich pier, City Cruises are London’s number 1 sightseeing tour. Just climb aboard the full heated cruise boats, and you’ll enjoy unparalleled views of some of London’s most famous attractions. Sail past the Shard, Canary Wharf and Greenwich, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and other landmarks. All City Cruises boats have indoor and upper deck seating, with panoramic views.

London sightseeing cruises on City Cruises Millennium Diamond

This September, we hung out on a City Cruises evening tour at the Brilliance in Blogging parent blogging awards, part of BritMums Live conference. It was wonderful to see the Thames and surrounding area lit up at night, especially while toasting my friend Nomita’s award for Best DIY blog.

City Cruises Afternoon Tea cruise 2

We also enjoyed a City Cruises Afternoon Tea Cruise earlier this summer, where they lavish you with scones, cakes, the whole works! If you’re feeling extra festive, you can order some bubbly at the bar.

Over Christmas, City Cruises host a Sail with Santa cruise (until Dec 24), perfect for kids ages 3+. Your little one can meet Father Christmas and receive a cookie, soft drink and a small present. For adults, there’s mulled wine and mince pies to keep you in the Yuletide mood.

I’m looking forward to when the babes are old enough to fly along the Thames on the super-fast Thamesjet speedboat, that zooms from Westminster Pier, to Tower Bridge and beyond.

If that’s a little too much excitement for you, why not try their flexible, all-day River Red Rover ticket. This allows visitors to hop on and hop off at various points over 24 hours, so you can really make the most of a day out in the Big Smoke.

Well, we’ve just came back from London (we only spent a day in the central) for the first time ever and we seen a good bit but would love to take it leisurely and enjoy it as we were walking round with an 8 year old and 2 year old so it was a bit difficult to enjoy the sights. I would love to see Kings Cross Station, The Shard and The London Eye in more detail.
