McDonald’s Family Fun Days this Summer!

So McDonald’s sent us the BIGGEST Happy Meal box we’ve ever seen. The babes thought we’d won the lottery. ‘Can we open it now? I’m excited!’

McDonald’s had actually invited us to take part in their Family Fun campaign, highlighting some fantastic family activities at their restaurants throughout summer and beyond.

As you know, Babes about Town is all about doing fun and cool things with your family. Every school holiday, I put together a Cool List of Things to do in London: from urban beaches to adventure playgrounds, giant water slides and open-air cinema. There’s always so much to explore, including these great Family Fun Days from McDonald’s!

Family Fun at McDonald’s

I was excited to learn McDonald’s are launching their new Family Fun Days at restaurants around the country. The aim is to help parents and kids enjoy more quality time together.

One of the things we love doing as a family is dining out at popular restaurants around town. But no matter how many fancy spots we visit, those familiar Golden Arches are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. It’s great to know that McDonald’s is stepping up its game to create a better overall experience for families.

Our McDonald’s gift package came with games we could try at home. Watch the video to see the babes in action. My boys are officially bonkers (I blame their father).

The box featured games from Family Fun Days taking place at selected McDonald’s restaurants (use their to find McDonald’s Family Fun happening near you). Activities include: Snakes & Ladders, a Happy Spotter board game, Who Am I?, and a Happy Card game.

Most of these games can only be played inside the restaurant; but kids are welcome to take home the activity placemat, a Family Fun certificate, and super cute clip-on animal mouths (as modelled by Jed in the video… roar)!

I’m pleased that none of the games are electronic because it’s another way to keep your kids unplugged and engaging with the people around them. Who Am I? was a hit when we played it at the babes’ grandparents. We had some good laughs watching Granddad trying to work out he was Taylor Swift!

Disclosure
I’m working in a paid relationship with McDonald’s and BritMums on their Family Fun campaign encouraging people to enjoy more quality time with their kids. Visit McDonald’s online and enter your postcode to find your nearest participating restaurant.

We often play guessing or riddle games at the table at home to stop the kids wanting to watch tv so it’s great to see that MacDonalds has recognised family fun times in their restaurants. Looks like you all had lots of fun!! Great review Uju x

Aww what a nice comment, the boys are growing too fast for my liking! But yes I do think they’d be good presenters… on a show that allows them to express their randomness lol x
