Dry Drinker Night with Big Apple Hot Dogs (+ Beer & Hotdogs Giveaway!)

June 14, 2017 //  by Uju//  86 Comments

Dry Drinker Night Stuart and Laura

Beer and hotdogs. They go together like… well, beer and hotdogs. So what could be better than a Beer & Hot Dogs night in central London? This was the concept behind #DryDrinkerNight, an evening for bloggers and influencers, hosted by Mothers & Shakers in collaboration with Dry Drinker and Big Apple Hot Dogs (aka my fella).

Dry Drinker Night Natasha eats Big Apple Hot Dogs

Dry Drinker Night with Big Apple Hot Dogs

As a surprise for our guests, drinks were provided by DRY DRINKER, the award-winning UK specialist in low and non-alcoholic premium beers, wines and spirits. Boasting a wide stock of 0.5% or less, Dry Drinker offers a refreshing alternative to a boozy night out. The best part is they’ll deliver to anywhere in the UK mainland for a flat rate of just £6.99 — no matter how much you order (they also cover NI and Europe)!

Dry Drinker is run by Stuart (top pic), a family man and former boozer. He cut down alcohol a few years back, mainly for health reasons. Stuart and his fellow beer experts scour the globe for the finest craft beers, fruit beers, ales, spirits and wines — all guaranteed NOT to leave you legless!

Dry Drinker is the only place you’ll find Big Drop Brewery beers, like their Chocolate Milk Stout. And with popular brands like Franziskaner and Teetotal G&T in their catalogue, Dry Drinker provides a handy backup for your party, BBQ, festival or wedding.

After all, it’s good to have options for designated drivers, expecting mums, people in training for sports events, anyone having a dry month, recovering or teetotal. Who wants to nurse a soft drink all evening?!

At the Dry Drinker night, Stuart served guests with drinks as they arrived. It was fun to see their reactions: first, to the beers (‘oh my gosh, this blood orange beer is delicious!’); and then, once they learned the drinks were booze-free.

‘I’m going to get so much stick for drinking non-alcoholic wine,’ said Liz of Me & My Shadow. But she enjoyed the Zinfandel, along with Big Apple Hot Dogs beef hotdogs without buns (gluten-free).

Dry Drinker Night Afra and friend
Afra of Mad Mum of 7 and her mate admitted they’d only accepted fruit beers to be polite. However, they were amazed by how good they tasted.

I’m not a beer drinker myself, but I’ve become a fruit beer convert, thanks to Dry Drinker. The Citrus Pale Ale is really light and fresh and would go down a treat on a hot summer’s day!

Maria of Tiger Tales and Me was excited to discover a range of drinks to suit her teetotal husband. She said, ‘He gets so bored at parties drinking juice. Every now and then he’ll have a taste of cider, but he’s going to love these beers!’

Dry Drinker beers are low sugar and less than 100 calories per bottle. So you can rest assured you won’t grow a beer gut to match your taste for dry beers!

Dry Drinker Night with Big Fish Little Fish

It was lovely hanging with Big Fish Little Fish dream team Hannah and Natasha, Laura of London Baby and Kids, and Jackie of Transatlantic Mom. And so nice to meet lifestyle and foodie bloggers Elinor of Beach Hut Cook and Eboni of Eboni+ Ivory.

The event took place at Cole AND Sons, unofficial HQ of Big Apple Hot Dogs. It’s a cool, quirky space — basically Abiye’s man cave away from home! Cole AND Sons is available for hire both upstairs and in the basement (known as The Bunker). Past events have ranged from chef’s demos to art shows, foodie pop-ups, and birthday parties.

For bookings and enquiries, get in touch via bigapplehotdogs.com
