You should have seen the boys’ faces when they opened the mysterious package that arrived at Babes HQ yesterday evening. Actually, you can watch my Instagram video clip for a taster of their reactions.
Even mama came over all ‘fan girl’ at the sight of the Marvel Superheroes suitcase, stacked with gadgets including Thor’s hammer, Hulk’s fists, Spiderman’s web shooter, Captain America’s shield and Iron Man’s mask. Just. Too. Dope.
The boys can have their toys, but I’m keeping the suitcase.
We were gifted these items courtesy of Marvel UK, who also invited us to Marvel Universe LIVE! coming up in autumn (cue more crazy yelling from the boys).

Marvel Universe LIVE! stars a cast of 50 cast members, showcasing stunts developed by the teams from blockbuster Thor and The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Brought to you by Feld Entertainment (the masterminds behind Disney On Ice) this production also boasts the largest flying system ever used for a live arena tour!
I must confess to being something of a comic book nerd, having grown up with an older brother who was OBSESSED with the Marvel pantheon of kick ass warriors. Storm from the X-Men is still one of my icons (the graphic version, not Halle Berry’s drippy impression). I had a crush on Peter Parker and loved watching The Incredible Hulk get mean and green on daytime TV.
So I’m all over this show like a skintight suit. A note from the producers:

This is such a fantastic gift! I’ve turned into a massive Marvel fan recently and have even got the little one hooked on Marvel comics! I’m not surprised you kept the suitcase for yourself, though I’d have claimed the Thor hammer too!

Yeah I’m keeping that suitcase although it’s bound to be a tug of war when we go travelling! We love the Marvel comics and I can’t wait for this event either – see you there :-)
