Marvel Universe LIVE: Superheroes Assemble in UK!

February 23, 2016 //  by Uju//  2 Comments

Marvel Universe Live Thor

You should have seen the boys’ faces when they opened the mysterious package that arrived at Babes HQ yesterday evening. Actually, you can watch my Instagram video clip for a taster of their reactions.

Marvel Universe Live unboxing

Even mama came over all ‘fan girl’ at the sight of the Marvel Superheroes suitcase, stacked with gadgets including Thor’s hammer, Hulk’s fists, Spiderman’s web shooter, Captain America’s shield and Iron Man’s mask. Just. Too. Dope.

Marvel Universe Live Hulk smash

The boys can have their toys, but I’m keeping the suitcase.

We were gifted these items courtesy of Marvel UK, who also invited us to Marvel Universe LIVE! coming up in autumn (cue more crazy yelling from the boys).

Marvel Universe LIVE! in UK arenas

Marvel Universe Live UK Tour

Every little person’s (and big kid’s) fantasies will burst into reality at these live action shows, featuring your favourite super heroes leaping, spinning, bashing, flying and causing all sorts of chaos as they battle arch villains like Loki and Green Goblin.

Marvel Universe Live Spiderman

Marvel Universe LIVE! stars a cast of 50 cast members, showcasing stunts developed by the teams from blockbuster Thor and The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Brought to you by Feld Entertainment (the masterminds behind Disney On Ice) this production also boasts the largest flying system ever used for a live arena tour!

I must confess to being something of a comic book nerd, having grown up with an older brother who was OBSESSED with the Marvel pantheon of kick ass warriors. Storm from the X-Men is still one of my icons (the graphic version, not Halle Berry’s drippy impression). I had a crush on Peter Parker and loved watching The Incredible Hulk get mean and green on daytime TV.

So I’m all over this show like a skintight suit. A note from the producers:

“Nearly two years in the making, Marvel Universe LIVE! has been a fantastically challenging and exhilarating journey. Working with our incredible Marvel partners, our heroic team has gone above and beyond with stunning innovations including a scientifically-tested full body burn suit, a live-action stunt vehicle that rolls over safely, astonishing new heights of fly technology for each Super Hero to soar in their own sensational style, and transformative video projections that completely immerse you into the heart of the epic action and story.”

Tickets for Marvel Universe Live went on sale TODAY. Grab yours before they fly away.

Marvel Universe LIVE! hits the UK on Thu Sep 8, 2016 at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, before visiting The 02 in London; Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham; the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow; Sheffield Arena and Manchester Arena. Pre-sale tickets are available from Tue Feb 23; tickets go on sale to the general public Friday 4th March, all tickets and further information including tour dates are available from the website at: www.MarvelUniverseLive.co.uk

This is such a fantastic gift! I’ve turned into a massive Marvel fan recently and have even got the little one hooked on Marvel comics! I’m not surprised you kept the suitcase for yourself, though I’d have claimed the Thor hammer too!

I’m going to have to buy tickets for this Autumn!

Yeah I’m keeping that suitcase although it’s bound to be a tug of war when we go travelling! We love the Marvel comics and I can’t wait for this event either – see you there :-)
