The first time your baby smiles. Or loses a tooth. The first time you pass your driving test. The first time you hold hands. The first time your little one scores a goal.
There’s something magical about the first time. If you’re lucky it can be a life-changing experience.
We were treated to a little bit of magic last week as I took my baby Gunners to the Emirates Stadium for their first ever visit. Look at their happy faces.
You can’t put a price on these moments.
We were invited by Vodafone as part of their #First initiative, a brilliant new campaign that has inspired submissions from countries around the world to help create amazing first-time experiences for people.
We watched the short film below about a Ghanaian youth football team who were flown over by Vodafone to the UK for the first time, to play in a tournament. It’s a beautifully made film that left me with a genuine lump in my throat. Grab some popcorn and enjoy with your little ones, especially if they’re into football!

We also watched footage of how Vodafone helped connect the boys’ village at home so their friends and families could see the tournament. One of the best clips shows the team on a London tour bus with the boys acting as ‘tour guides’. Prepare for giggles.

Other Vodafone #First moments so far have included taking two grannies on their first flight and putting a young band on stage in front of a crowd of 10,000.

Aww, they do look super pleased. Must have been quite a moment for them and for you.
It really was Nomita, strange I’d never taken them there given we live so close but will definitely be back!
Thanks Shea, yes really delightful to share those moments and pleased and proud to have a blog that’s all about capturing these times too :-)
