Featured: Stylin’ for a Mother and Son Play Date!

March 28, 2014 //  by Uju//  1 Comment

George at Asda Mum Collage

Featured Post

I’m blessed to be the mother of two delicious boys. But every now and then, it’s a joy to spend quality time with just one son.

Yesterday Jed was out with a friend after school while Ezra and I curled up together with a book for a few hours (we’re reading Enid Blyton’s The Phoenix and the Magic Carpet, one of my childhood faves). Lovely.

George at Asda invited me to showcase their women and kids range and, with Mother’s Day just around the corner, I decided to put together outfits for a Mummy and Son urban play date.

I have my eye on this flared Moda midi skirt (£12), paired with the Moda jersey shirt (£10) in sunshine yellow (Ezra’s favourite colour).

I would add a black crochet shrug as above (£10) for this transitional weather we’re having and probably top it all off with a dark, cropped denim jacket (£18), a wardrobe staple.

Oh and of course, flat shoes to keep up with my active boy! I’m feeling these cheap and chic leopard ballet shoes (£6)

For my little man, I like the style of the Superman hoody (£8) as Jed is nuts about the action hero and loves anything red.

Sports mad Ezra would look smart in the cricket jumper (£8, online exclusive).

They could match either top with a pair of utility trousers (£7) and cool, two-toned canvas plimsolls (£7) to step out with Mummy in style!

I had to laugh on your “two delicious boys” expression, but you are so right! By the way, love the leopard ballet shoes!
