Most of us have had to cut corners at some point in our lives, whether you’re a student living off tinned beans (or in my case, sweetcorn) or a cash-strapped mama who uses her baby wipes for housework!

But hopefully you’ve never had to stoop quite so low as the family in the brand new video from Nationwide that made me squirm almost as much as it made me giggle.

Check it out and prepare for some toe-curling moments! You really won’t believe the lengths some people go to, just to save a buck or two… (hint: click on the images in the video to watch different scenarios play out).
