My mum chum Louise noticed I had some extra sashay to my walk this morning as I dropped the kids off at school.
I told her it was all about the shoes, hot pink A-leigh linen wedges (€69.99) sent over by the lovely folks at Crocs UK.
You won’t often catch me in anything higher than a trainer heel since having kids, but I do like that extra feeling of lift and bounce you can get even from wedges. Hello hips, wassup booty!
It was my first time wearing these sandals and I had to stop for about 10 minutes along the school run to adjust the ankle strap (it’s kind of fiddly). After that, it was plain cruising.
Crocs also sent me a pair of juicy Huarache flats (€49.99) that I predict I’m going to live in throughout summer.
Anyone who’s spotted me since Camp Bestival last year knows that I practically moved into my Crocs wellies for autumn and winter (My excuse? A crocodile ate my other shoes).
Thing is, they’re just so darn comfy to wear. Like the wedges, they’re made with Croc’s signature Croslite cushioning and the straps allow your feet to move and breathe. Plus I like to wear bright shades and they go with almost everything.
Quite a few people I meet are surprised to find out Crocs does such a wide variety of shoes for all seasons, not just for kids but also for ladies and gents. We went to the Crocs grand opening at Bluewater last year and I was really impressed by their men’s range.
And here’s my little man rocking his brand new Crocs, bearing a very cool logo!
These are the more traditional Crocs clog design (average €29.99-€39.99) given a Hot Wheels makeover and my little speed monster couldn’t wait to show them off to the kids at school.
