If you missed the Magical Ice Kingdom at the Winter Wonderland over the festive season, there’s still a chance to catch some spectacular ice sculptures at this popular annual event. Show themes include ‘Infinity’ and ‘Wonders of the Universe’. World class sculptors hold masterclasses, there’s face painting, snow pit and laser lights. Expect to be dazzled! Fri-Sun: The House where Winter Lives at Discover Children’s Centre, Stratford High St, E16 (Stratford tube/overground)

Acclaimed theatre company Tall Stories, the team behind massive stage hit The Gruffalo Live, soars into the West End with another spell-binding adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s work. Room on the Broom features a witch and her cat, trying to retrieve her windswept belongings, with the help of a cast of animals. Will there be room enough on the broomstick or will it crack?
