POW! Tinker Tailor Nursery Prints

May 21, 2012 //  by Uju//  7 Comments

I was contacted a little while back by Islington mama Lydia to see if I’d like to feature her Tinker Tailor nursery prints.

After a quick browse of her online store (NB: updated store links to Not on the High Street where her products are now stocked), I was hooked on her charming art prints of nursery rhymes. It’s such a simple idea, beautifully executed.

Classics like Incy Wincy and This Little Piggy are craftily designed so the words create animal shapes. My favourite is Here a Moo, There a Moo with the Old MacDonald chorus spelt out in a series of cow motifs.

The prints come in A3 size and are available framed or unframed and in a choice of 5 colours to blend easily with any nursery or child’s bedroom. For every print sold, Tinker Tailor donates £1 to the National Literacy Trust, helping disadvantaged children get access to books of their own.

Tinker Tailor featured on my 10 Best Gifts for New Parents, one of my most popular posts for the Lazy Daisy web site.

Lydia’s prints make a fun introduction to poetry for little ones and a sweet, nostalgic trip for hip mamas and papas.

Visit Tinker Tailor Nursery Prints storefront at Not on the High Street. Prints at £30 (unframed), £55 (framed).

OMG, I need all the animal versions for my son’s nursery with him being a (beef) farmer’s son. Although I won’t have the space as I’ve already got some tractor prints. such a shame, as they’re so gorgeous, and unique.

Hi Emma, aren’t they great? I just love the whole concept. I’m in the mood for a revamp of the boys’ bedroom so I do have my eyes on these prints ;-)
