Win a Dream Getaway with Sudocrem Sunscreen Mousse for Kids and Babies

April 25, 2012 //  by Uju//  3 Comments

Apparently it’s National Sun Awareness Week coming up (Apr 30-May 6). Sun? Somebody’s having a laugh! Check out my latest blog on the Lazy Daisy network about Travelling with Baby for a little escapism.

Recently I was offered a chance to try brand new Sudocrem Sunscreen Mousse SPF 50** for kids and babies.

I was keen to check it out as, even though the weather’s hardly beachy at the moment, the babes spend every opportunity playing outdoors when the sun’s out.

As an African growing up, sun protection was not something I ever thought about. But I know more now about the harmful effects of over-exposure and sun damage, even for black skin. My boys are at the lighter end of the spectrum and kids of all shades need protection as their skin is thinner and more vulnerable to the sun’s penetrating rays.

After a close family member’s bout with a cancerous mole, sun protection is not something any of us takes lightly. But it’s hard to get the boys to sit still long enough to rub any on!

The Sudocrem Mousse absorbs quickly, isn’t too smelly or sticky like other suncreams and provides lasting cover.

What’s even more clever is that it’s hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (doesn’t block pores) and completely free of perfumes, parabens or other additives. The mousse offers 4 star UVA protection and is described as ‘very resistant’ to water and towel drying – so you don’t have to reapply it 1000 times. It also uses Proderm Technology® that helps ease various dry skin conditions.

I like the feel of it on the babes’ skin and the fact it doesn’t leave them looking like they’re wearing body paint. Also having used Sudocrem nappy rash ointment on them as newborns, I’m confident that this brand knows how to handle young kids with care.

Now where’s that sunshine?

Visit Sudocrem Mousse on Facebook for a chance to win a 7 nights, £2,500 dream holiday for 4 in a luxury Spanish villa! I’m feeling lucky, are you?
