My Entry into the Watt Loss Challenge

January 11, 2012 //  by Uju//  2 Comments

We’re taking part in the BritMums and British Gas Smart Mums Watt Loss Challenge Linky.

The idea is to take a photo demonstrating how you and your family save energy at home.

One smart move we made a while back was to switch to Energy Saver light bulbs. Low watt bulbs cost more than average but use five times less electricity than your standard bulb. Plus they have an eight-year life span so are actually a bright investment.

For my Linky entry, I decided to snap the babes with a couple of our energy saving bulbs. Cue Jedi robe and lightsabre pose.

The picture’s titled ‘Light Savers’. Please note: no actual bulbs (or babes) were harmed in the taking of this photo!

Take part in the Watt Loss Challenge for a chance to win fab prizes.

Your boys are sooooo cute. We use those light bulbs too. They are funky looking and take a while to get used to, but they do save energy.

Hi Susanna, and thanks although Jed is the most morose looking Jedi… except maybe he’s just deep like Yoda. I know it’s weird when you first make the switch and it’s like ‘can somebody turn on the light already!’…but actually you do get used to them and it’s a smart move for sure.
