Ben 10 monster trucks invade the O2 Centre, Chipmunk and Pixie Lott rock out in Clapham Common and there are fireworks on the River Thames. Keep it popping!

Sat-Sun: Mayor’s Thames Festival, along the Thames, zones 1-4
Wind up the summer at London’s massive free festival with entertainment ranging from White Rabbit storytelling to Electro Swing Speakeasy, Disco Shed, Cycle-in cinema and loads more activities, dancing, live music and feasting, rounding off with an illuminated Night Carnival (6.45-9.30pm) and spectacular Fireworks display (9.45-10pm). **Don’t miss Big Apple Hot Dogs at Southbank Centre. Sat: Super Saturday on Clapham Common, SW4 (Clapham Common tube)
Celebrate one year to go until the Paralympic Games at a special concert featuring Taio Cruz, the Saturdays, Olly Murs, Sugababes, Pixie Lott and more top pop. Plus fairground attractions, stalls and other family entertainment. 11am-9pm, adult £30, child £20, under 5s free/family £90 (Sep 10)

Sat-Sun: Ben 10 Monster Truck Mania at O2 Centre, Greenwich SE10 (Canary Wharf tube)
Get ready for motorbike madness and mind-bending stunts as the hottest wheels in town storm into the O2 Centre. Supercool vehicles and hero Ben 10, on a quest to save earth from alien domination, create non-stop fun for fans of the series. Doors open 6pm (Sat) and 1pm (Sun), £22.50-£39 (Sep 10-11)

Fri-Sun: Kings Place Festival, York Way, NW1 (King’s Cross tube)
The annual four-day programme of more than 100 concerts along with weekend family entertainment including Mozart with Puppets, a Fairytale Fantasia and interactive Tots Concerts for under 5s. From 10am daily, tickets £4.50 online, many events free (Sep 8-11)
