Foodie Friday: Innocent Cookbook Hits the Road + BAHD at Thames Festival

September 9, 2011 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Food trucks are all the rage, so it’s no wonder that when Innocent set out to promote their family cookbook Hungry?, they decided to combine a book tour with a street van dishing out tasty grub to the nation.

The Hungry Grassy Van tour kicks off this weekend in London, serving up original recipes from the book at a variety of locations around town. You can grab a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner from just £2 or get your 5-a-day in their special £5 meal deal.

Follow the HGV’s progress via Facebook or Twitter @innocentdrinks and they’ll be doling out free copies of Hungry? to select Tweeps who spot them on the road and tweet using the hashtag #innocentHGV.

Now that’s a van with a plan.

HGV pitstops in London:

Surrey Quays Shopping Centre – 9:30am-2.30pm (Fri Sep 9)
Wimbledon Common, Church Road – 9am-2pm (Sat Sep 10)
Windrush Square in Brixton – 3-8pm (Sat Sep 10)
Allen Gardens, Brick Lane – 10am-6pm (Sun Sep 11)
