POW! VivoBarefoot Kids Shoes

August 15, 2011 //  by Uju//  2 Comments

The babes have been strutting their stuff around town this week in brand new shoes, kindly sent for review from VivoBarefoot Kids.

I think my 5-year-old actually believes shoes give him super powers – any time Ezra gets a new pair, he starts racing around like Dash from the Incredibles or trying to scale walls like Spiderman.

In fact VivoBarefoot Kids shoes are super fly: they’re specially designed to mimic the experience of being barefoot, which any good podiatrist will tell you is much better for your feet.

‘They look a bit like girl’s shoes,’ Ezra noted, as he slipped into them. The set he received is called Pally and is just passably unisex although definitely leaning towards the girly.

But it speaks to their quality and comfort that my boy, who’s in that ‘ugh, I hate princesses’ phase of pre-school machismo, wears his with pride.

He’s especially impressed with the barefoot imprint on the outer soles – ‘check out the grip, Mum’.

My 2-year-old is very taken with his shoes too and so am I. The Rooty (below) is an adult bestseller that’s been reproduced for the kids’ collection. Jed’s are smooth brown leather and smart enough for days out or special events, but also sporty and durable for everyday wear and tear.

Described as ‘revolutionary footwear’, VivoBarefoot pioneered the barefoot movement by creating a patented ultra-thin puncture resistant sole that reduces impact and allows its wearers to move as nature intended.

Apparently it can take a while to get used to the barefoot experience, but both my boys were up and running straight away.

VivoBarefoot Kids certainly gets the Babes about Town stamp of approval.

And that’s a whole lot of stamping.

VivoBarefoot Kids come in a range of colours and styles from UK size 1/Eur 21 and up. Visit www.vivibarefootkids.co.uk for info
