Foodie Friday: Foodies Festival in Battersea Park

July 29, 2011 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

London has become a gastro’s paradise with hardly a weekend going by when there isn’t some major culinary action taking place.

This weekend, the Foodies Festival takes over Battersea Park in south London for three days of professional cooking classes, chef’s theatre, and more than 100 specialty food and drink producers tempting your taste buds.

Fun for families includes a Young Cook’s Masterclass and the unveiling of a gigantic Ploughman’s Lunch after which the cheese will be shared amongst festival-goers (there’s 1 tonne of Seriously Strong Cheddar, so plenty to go round)!

Tickets ain’t cheap but they’re valid for three days of feasting, and under 16s go free with each adult entry.

Foodies Festival in Battersea Park, SW11 (Battersea Park Rail) from 12-8pm (Fri), 10am-6pm (Sat), 11am-5pm (Sun), £25/£18 concs/under 16s free (Jul 29-31)
