Bank Holiday Scoop (May 27-30)

Swing into the Bank Holiday weekend with festivals of food and dance, plus live shows for the little ones.

Fri-Sun: Lost & Found at the Unicorn Theatre, Tooley St, SE1
The heartwarming tale of a boy’s friendship with a penguin, based on the popular novel. On May 27 (Fri), special toddler performances for ages 1 to 2 (sold out but waiting list open). £11/£9 concs. 10am, 12pm & 2.30pm (Fri), 11.30am & 2.30pm (Sat-Sun). (May 25-29)

Sat: Thomas Coram Live at Foundling Museum, Brunswick Sq, WC1
The founder of the museum comes dramatically to life to tell how he persuaded King George II to create a home for abandoned children. Lots of Q&A fun in this interactive show. 10am-12.30pm and 1.30-4pm. Free with museum admission: Adults £7.50/£5 concs/Under 16s free (May 28 & Jun 1)

Sat-Mon: Foodies Festival at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey KT8
Feast on fine food and drink over the Bank Holiday weekend with Michelin starred chefs, live demos, signature dish samplings and a musical backdrop. 10am-6pm (Sat), 11am-6pm (Sun), 11am-5pm (Mon). Adults £15-£25/Under 16s free. (May 28-30)

Mon: Outdoor Dancing , Spitalfields Market, Brushfield St, EC1
Round off the London Swing Dance Festival with a fun and relaxing afternoon boogie, under the sails at Spitalfields Market. 3-6pm, Free (May 30)
