Reasons to be Cheerful pt. 2

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy From the Heart

It’s cold and grim outside so I’ve decided to perk up a little by taking part again in the Reasons to be Cheerful link-up created by Mummy from the Heart.

This is a great idea as once you start counting your blessings you realise that there is so much more to appreciate about life. Even the shallow stuff. Such as:

1. A new pair of trainers

Check these bad boys out. I was in Carnaby Street the other day and saw that Puma was having a sale. These hi-tops weren’t part of the discount, but I couldn’t take my eyes off them.

I’m normally quite boring with trainers, sticking with the black/white/metallic palette. So in keeping with my new image, I went for something slightly funkier. Much of the time, you’ll find me slouching around the ‘hood in comfy mummy shoes.

But you know what I want to do now? I want to strut.

2. My baby speaks!

He’s almost 2 and Jed’s language is coming along in leaps and bounds. It’s one of my favourite things about watching him grow. Every day, new phrases. He’ll say ‘I love you’ (sounds like ‘I rove you’) and then after football club, he goes ‘I rove football’. Both boys are footie mad. Quelle surprise.

He’s super chatty with strangers and always says ‘Shee you later’, recently followed by ‘Nice to eat you!’

I could just gobble him up.

3. Birthday month is coming!

February is party time for us with mama and two boys all turning one year older. Our theme on Babes about Town for this month will be Celebrate. Love.

As well as loads of fantastic events happening around London (Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day etc), you can check out the blog for party planning ideas and more.

Plus, I’ll be unveiling some fab new features and dishing out delicious prizes for our loyal readers.

Are you feeling cheery? I am! Thanks again to Mummy from the Heart for creating this meme. See you (hopefully a little earlier!) next week.
