Fri-Sun: London Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition at Alexandra Palace, N22
Choo choo! Get your little trainspotters over to Ally Pally to view over a thousand models of engines and other vehicles, plus live action in the Model Active Zone. £8.50/£9.50 adult, £4.50/£5.50 child (ages 5-14). 10am-5.30pm (Fri-Sat), 10am-4pm (Sun) (ends Jan 23)

Sun: Monster Parade Family Sunday at Serpentine Gallery, Kensington W2
Create your own beasties and characters with artists and designers in response to the work of author/illustrator Johan Olander and artist Philipe Parreno. Free, for all ages. Drop-in sessions, 12-5pm

Sun: Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Workshop BFI Southbank, SE1
Whistle while you draw and bring your favourite dwarf to life in this fun afternoon followed by a screening of the film, part of Disney 50 at BFI. 12pm, free with purchase of film ticket.
