Making Cards 4 Cancer

March 28, 2010 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Traditionally April is a month for fools and showers.

But this year, it’s the launch month for Cards 4 Cancer Day, a global project that aims to bring a little light into the lives of cancer sufferers.

Promoted by the non-profit organisation Spirit Jump, Cards 4 Cancer Day calls for individuals or teams around the world to make cards and deliver them to their local cancer centre.

On or around Saturday April 10, Spirit Jump team leaders will collect and deliver bags of cards to people battling cancer. You can form a team simply by asking friends, neighbours, family members, schools etc. to get on board.

This is such a simple but powerful way to connect people going through different life experiences. It’s also a fab creative project to do with your little ones. If you’re not feeling artsy, you can simply buy a card and write a personal message of support.

Spirit Jump’s goal is to deliver 100,000 cards to help JUMP the SPIRITS of patients and their loved ones.

If you would like to send a card, form a team or you’d just like to learn more, visit their web site.
