Choc Fest at South Bank

March 27, 2010 //  by Uju//  6 Comments

You can tell I’m sleep-deprived.

Not because of the overnight baggage waiting to be checked in under my eyes, but because somehow I almost missed telling you about the Chocolate Festival that’s already underway at Southbank Centre.

This three-day fest overlooking the Thames is a chocolush’s dream.

There are tastings and demonstrations by master chocolatiers and chefs including a session on the ‘humble Brownie’ and an Easter egg-making class.

Find out about how chocolate’s used in savoury dishes (duck salad with dark chocolate vinaigrette anybody?) or feast on truffles, shakes and pancakes.

If that’s not enough choc overload, there are edible sculptures on display around the Royal Festival Hall.

Chocolate Festival is free and runs until Sun Mar 28 in the main Marquee at Southbank Centre Square.

Oh sorry, I confused you with someone else, hence the “thanks for stopping by”, just a short explanation ;) Enjoy your weekend nevertheless :)
