Babes About Town Custom Blog Design by Shauna Callaghan : Powered by Gorilla Themes: WordPress
Hey Uju, love the blog, design is clean and funky and as an adult with both kids and GSOP, it appeals to me. New motherhood is like a special club that you become totally immersed in and obsessed by, though it’s over before you know it. Babydom was almost 9 years ago for me, but I still have fond memories of that time. Though not fond enough to try for another baby! Keep blogging, I will keep reading.
Hi Nkiru, great to have you here and thanks for the feedback. Shauna at See My Designs did an AWESOME job getting the look and feel of the blog and of course, she’s a Babe about town too ;-) You’re right, new mamahood is like a club but it can feel strangely lonely at times which is one of the reasons I’ve launched this project.
It’s amazing how fast they grow and as for another baby for you, who knows? Life happens! ;-) Do keep coming back and spread the word.
Fantastic blog my love, I’m really proud of you.
I can’t wait for the next waistline and sex-life updates……!!! ;o)
xXx
LOL Thanks babe! As always your support and inspiration mean the world to me. Here’s to those updates ;-) xxxx
I love the blog, great idea too cuz! My back went from lifting the girls, in a lot of pain. Guess who came to my rescue? Not their mama, my two princesses; making sure I am ok. I think I know which side my bread is buttered, will not trade them for any queen on this planet; keeping this new identity for life… Lol.
Uju, this looks great! I’m 6 weeks into my life as a new mum loving the love affair!! Terrible baby brain and boring everyone to death with my relentless nappy chat :-)
Thanks so much, Charles, sorry to hear about the back. Glad you’ve been rescued by Princesses Charming! Nice to have another daddy on board. As we say, dads are ‘Babes’ too! Keep reading :-)
Hi Georgina, really appreciate the feedback. And huge congrats on the little one! Parenting is one of life’s greatest and strangest adventures. Stick with us and enjoy the ride ;-)
Hi Uju,
Excellent job! Really Fab site! Well done!…(anyway, it’s in the blood). Nice to have something that’s relevant to one’s day to day life not some old myths. Will surely add this to to my Favourites. Have subscribed so hope to get regular updates. Keep up the good work!
Thanks KC, glad you like. Do subscribe and spread the word :-)
Uju, I love the look and feel of your website and most of all, the concept. I can relate as I am stuck at home right now with a 2 month old. Only negative comment I would add (and this is strictly personal taste)is that the page runs down too long. I hate it when I have to keep scrolling down and down a page. As u scroll down, the site header and the contents in the far right column are no longer visible. I think you should have the web designer make the header and right column static as u scroll down the body of the site. It’s a simple fix. Or, you can incorporate a “next” button/icon that takes u to another page with the header and right column still in view. Fantastic job!
Well done Uju! Although I’m not at the ‘babe’ stage yet, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the blog. Your writing style and the layout make it a pleasure to browse!
Aurélien will start getting the wrong end of the stick soon!!!
Congrats! I look forward to following the project and will pass the link on now.
Love. M
Very impressed with the site, colours are great and design is cool. Well done you !
Am coming out of ‘babybrain’ …hooray ! and into yoga ,now muscles are aching and am dreaming of having a pre -birth pelvic floor. Is this possible ??
louise x
Thanks a lot and that’s really great constructive criticism. I’ll definitely see what we can do to fix this issue. So glad to have you here, be sure to subscribe and tell your friends. Baby mamas, broody chicks, lads turned dads – we welcome all ;-)
We can only dream lol! In fact that’s a good idea for an upcoming post – the return of pelvic prowess, or something along those lines…thanks for the feedback, glad to have you on board :-)
Brilliant idea babe-in-chief! (ha!). I love the Aquamarine, absolutely beautiful! Definitely with you on the Hands for Haiti post. Love is the greatest gift of all, let’s get on with the giving y’all.
A great read Uju. I certainly would have valued such support and info’ 30 years ago! Interesting for me to keep up with events and products even now albeit from the sideline. An answer to crazyhorse re pelvic floor. Yes, it can come back like new!
but it needs you to persistently contract and release it. Easy to do during any everyday activity. Go Girl!
Thanks Ify, the designer (Shauna at See My Designs) totally worked it! And yes, let’s keep that giving feeling going. Did you see the Dance for Haiti event tomorrow? You could be there in spirit ;-)
Thanks so much, glad you’re reading and since you do have an ESOP (excellent sense of play) very happy to have you here ;-)
