Bonfire Night & Weekend Scoop for London Families (Nov 2-5, 2012)

Bonfire night fireworks

London’s burning and we’ve found the hottest spots for Fireworks Night with Kids around town. Plus more events to light your sparklers.

Sat: Blackheath Common, SE3
Expect around 100,000 spectators along with funfair and music. Starts at 4pm. (Nov 3)

Sat: Enfield Town Park Fireworks, Cecil Rd, EN2
A family-friendly display by Enfield District Scouts. 6pm doors, 7.30pm fireworks; adult £6/child £4 (Sat Nov 3)

Sat: Ravenscourt Park Fireworks, W6
James Bond themed show with food, music and stalls. Gates 6pm, kids show 7.15pm, main show 8pm; adult £7/under 5s free (Nov 3)

Sat: Battersea Park Fireworks, SW11
Their theme this year is 2012: London Celebrates. From 6pm gates, 8pm display; £10, no tickets sold after 5pm today (Nov 3)

Sat-Sun: Fireworks at Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, Essex (Waltham rail)
Catch live re-enactments from the historic gunpowder plot, along with a ‘Ghost of Guy Fawkes’ children’s play, crafts and games, plus an explosive fireworks display.
adult £9/child 3-15 £6.50/family £32.50 (2 adults & 3 children) (Nov 3-4)

Sun: Richmond Family Fireworks, Richmond Athletic Ground, TW9
‘Best of British’ is this year’s theme with music from top UK acts. 4.30pm gates, 7pm fireworks; adult £8/child £5 (Nov 4)

Mon: Southwark Park Fireworks, SE16
There’s hot food and drinks and a fireworks display with soundtrack. (Nov 5)

Mon: Fireworks at Fortismere School Playing Fields, N2
Special display by Kimbolton Fireworks, of the 2012 Closing Ceremony fame. 6pm, fireworks 7.30pm, £5.50 (Nov 5)

Mon: Crystal Palace Park, SE20
There are two displays kicking off with kid-friendly fireworks from 7pm. (Nov 5)
