Any opportunity to use a cultural outing for the kiddies as an excuse for an afternoon’s shopping and I’m sold.
So my ears pricked up when I found out that Selfridges is holding a Beatrix Potter exhibition through Easter.
The exhibition will feature original pen and ink illustrations by one of our best-loved children’s authors along with books and toys from the archive. For vintage book lovers, there will also be rare copies of all 23 stories including a 1903 edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit on display.
Pop into the store for special storytelling sessions between April 2 and 5 and you might slap paws with Peter Rabbit who’ll be making guest appearances.
Beatrix Potter at Selfridges is on until April 12.
