If you can’t cope with dragging the pack around Trafalgar Square for the St Patrick’s Day Parade (Sun Mar 13), here are a few other options:

Fri-Sun: Disney on Ice at Wembley Arena, Wembley HA9
Mickey, Buzz, Snow White and the entire cast of Disney get their skates on for this magical ice-scapade that’s sure to enthral your mini mouse. 11am, 2.45pm & 6.30pm (Mar 9-13)

Fri-Sun: Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park, Queenstown Rd, SW11
Collect an original item for your home or a gift at this collection of art priced between £100 and £4000. With workshops for adults and kids, free creche and more. 11am-6pm, £12/£10 adv, under 12s free. (Mar 10-13)

Fri-Sun: MOVE IT Dance Festival at Olympia
Get footloose at London’s biggest dance weekend with performances from top crews and artistes and workshops in ballet, jazz, street, belly, ballroom, tap and everything in between. Learn routines from Glee, Dirty Dancing and Flashdance. Open workshops for kids include Pre-School Creative Dance class (Sun, 1pm) led by Royal Academy of Dance. 10am-7pm (Fri-Sat), 10am-5pm (Sun). Adv. £12 adults/£9.50 child; Door £17 adults/£13 child. Under fives free. (Mar 11-13)

Sat-Sun: Pond Weekend at Camley Street Natural Park, N1
