Fri-Sun: The Great British Seaside exhibition at National Maritime Museum, Park Row, Greenwich, SE10 9NF (Cutty Sark DLR)
Summer’s over but you can still visit the British seaside via this landmark exhibition. Four photographers, and more than 100 photographs bring the UK coastline to life with this nostalgic love letter. 10am-5pm; adult £10.35/child £4.50 (online prices) (until Sep 30)

Learn what happens in the seats of power, at these behind the scenes lunchtime tours for kids and families. Explore the House of Lords and House of Commons chambers, St Stephen’s Hall and Westminster Hall. You could even stay for Afternoon Tea at the Houses of Parliament! Sat-Sun: The Golden Hinde Night Voyage (Family Sleepover), at The Golden Hinde, St Mary Overie Dock, Cathedral Strett, SE1 9DE (London Bridge tube)
Go back in time aboard the historic ship, bedding down for the night as part of the Golden Hinde crew. See what life was like as an Elizabethan sailor, ward off an attack by the Spaniards, then bunk down in authentic quarters. Enjoy a Tudor breakfast the next morning.
