Snack Time for Hungry Kids (+ their Adults)

Feeling peckish? You will be after hearing about two delicious treats on the market, aimed at kids (mostly) but just right for an after school snack for you too. Tuck in.

Munch Bunch Squashum Huge Tubes

There was a time when my children seemed to live on yoghurt and nothing else. It was their easiest food to eat when they were babies, sometimes an entire meal during their fussiest phases, and it remains a top snack to this day. The boys have always been fans of Munch Bunch, especially the fromage frais pots (do your kids fight over who gets strawberry flavour too?), the yoghurt drinks and the super handy Squashums and yoghurt tubes. So yeah, basically all of it!

Munch Bunch Huge Tubes

Now Munch Bunch have brought out Squashums Huge Tubes, offering 50 percent more than any other fromage frais tubes on the market, with all natural ingredients in strawberry/raspberry options. Designed for older kids, these offer much more oomph and make a brilliant ‘grab and go’ snack for after-school football club. The best thing about Huge Tubes is that since they’re see through, the boys can tell whether they’ve sucked up every last bit. So no icky surprises at the bottom of their football kits after!

Pick up your Munch Bunch Squashums Huge Tubes at Waitrose, Ocado, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Asda for for just £1.99 per pack (6 x Strawberry or 3 x Strawberry/3 x Raspberry)

Pop Works & Company Popcorn

I’m a popcorn snack monster. No apologies, no regrets. So my eyes POPPED when I strolled into our local supermarket and saw a brand new range, Pop Works & Company on the shelves. Jed and I both grabbed a packet at the same time and we came home armed with Sweet & Salty and Sticky Toffee Pudding. That’s right… Sticky Toffee Pudding popcorn! What’s not to love? It’s crunchy and gooey and treacly and incredibly moreish — a clever remix of the boy’s favourite pudding.

Pop Works & Company popcorn

Pop Works & Company have also launched Apple Pie and Peanut Butter & Caramel and across the pond, they even offer Birthday Cake popcorn (think vanilla and sprinkles). All brilliant for parties or movie nights, although nothing can replace my Sweet & Salty. Fact: I’ve been eating this popcorn flavour since way back before it was fashionable. Nowadays everybody’s mixing it up. Even the babes are staking a claim on it, but nobody’s hand goes in Uju’s popcorn bowl. Get your own!

Pop Works & Company are kindly sending us some goodies to devour sample, keep an eye on my social media for more temptation… (available via Amazon, Sainsbury’s and other retailers)
