Dates with Dads: Skate King’s Cross

July 10, 2013 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Rollerskating Couple by La Brisa photography

If Skate at Somerset House is a perfect date for winter, this summer it’s all about the pop-up roller rink at King’s Cross.

Grab your other half, get your skates (or blades) on and cruise along to Skate King’s Cross for some old-school good times.

Calling up memories of the area’s legendary Bagley’s roller disco nights, Skate King’s Cross will serve up bites to boogie with from Disco Bistro alongside the rollerskating action.

Also on the line-up are ‘kitchen takeovers’ from guest chefs and stalls including street food faves Street Kitchen, Yum Bun, Lucky Chip and more.

Daytime skate sessions are fun for all the family, but you could make a night of it on Fridays and Saturdays when there will be live sets from the cream of London DJs.

A great date to sweep your babe papa off his feet — or have a laugh trying!

Skate Kings Cross launches Fri Jul 12 for 8 weeks at the West Handyside Canopy, NC1 (off Handy Street or Granary Square). Tickets range from adult £14.30/concs £9.90/child £5.50.

Dates with Dads is a new series on Babes about Town where we suggest fun ideas for ‘date nights’ or afternoon escapes with your baby daddy, either at home or around town. Look out for more coming soon!
