I still remember my first ever visit to the Baby Show when Ezra was a mere bub-in-arms.
All that eye candy for new mamas and papas, stallholders fawning over my cheeky chappie, cute little bundles in buggies and baby carriers everywhere you turned.
It seems like yesterday!
But before we can say ‘slow your roll, Father Time’, our newborns transform into rugged little blokes (or ladies) in-waiting.
And while so much is aimed at brand new parents, we still need support and information (and great deals!) as our kids grow older.
A SHOW FOR THE NEXT STAGE OF PARENTING
We’re excited about Mums Show Live — the first ever UK show to target parents of school-age children. The organisers have pulled together what sounds like a fab day out for grown-ups as well as kids aged 4 to 12.
You’ll find specialty brands along with tons of stalls showcasing all kinds of cool gear, as well as exclusive discounts and offers each day.
Hot on the agenda are the Conversation Theatres and the Inspiration Theatres, where you can meet UK celeb mums (including pictured hosts Sarah Cawood, Carol Smillie and Sam Mann), hear from top parenting bloggers and discuss a wide range of topics e.g. travelling with kids, starting a mummy blog, or getting back to work after maternity leave.
Check out Mums Show Live on You Tube to watch a series of teaser videos featuring mums like me chatting about media, discipline and sex ed!
Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig and other characters will be around to grab the little ones’ attention. And there are two special areas for kids — The Treehouse, sponsored by deals site Little Bird, offering everything from face painting to circus skills; and the Play Zone where your willing testers can get hands-on with toys recommended by The Good Toy Guide.
There are tasty food and drink options in the Palm Court and every visitor receives a free goody bag!
If that’s not enough to tempt you out, visiting Mums Show Live is also a chance to have a good wander about the lovely grounds of Alexandra Palace and Park.
See you there!
