As always, we’ve tracked down the best Easter egg trails around London so you can focus on finding chocolates with your little ones. Here are our Top 10 Egg Hunts (and a few more if you’re feeling extra chocolatey). Enjoy!

1. The Big Egg Hunt in Covent Garden
Head down to Market Square for the finale of the Lindt Big Egg Hunt where you can gawp at giant decorated eggs, collect your hunt book to mark down how many you can spot for a chance to win prizes. The iconic Lindt golden bunny will be doling out free goodies including a year’s worth of chocolate! All day, FREE (Mar 22-Apr 1)

2. Hop & Hunt at Duke of York Square, King’s Rd, SW3 (Sloane Square tube)
Search for clues and answer riddles hidden around the square for a chance to win an iPad mini, a £200 shopping spree and of course chocolate eggs galore for treasure hunters. Also meet Daisy the Easter Bunny and a magician performing tricks throughout. Start under the giant balloon arch. All day, FREE (Mar 30)

3. Chocolate Quest at Kew Gardens, Richmond, Surrey TW9 3AB (Kew Gardens tube)
Travel through time on a historic chocolate adventure from the Mayans to the Spanish explorers to Georgian era chocolatiers right up through the Cadbury family. Easter family fun at Kew includes the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday. Arrive early! 9.30am-5pm, adult entry £16/child under 16 FREE (Mar 29-Apr 1, egg hunt on Mar 30)

4. The Great Egg Roll Waterlow Park, Highgate Hill, N6 (Archway tube)
The ever popular Great Egg Roll returns with treasure hunt, egg decorating and of course the competition to roll your eggs down the hill. 11am-1pm (arrive early as it’s first come, first served, max 100 tickets); £6.50 (Mar 31)

5. Chocolate Factory on London Eye, South Bank, SE1 (Waterloo tube)
The famous landmark transforms into an interactive Chocolate Factory this Easter as you hop on board to meet Edwin the Easter Bunny, meet bouncing stilt walkers and munch on free chocs all weekend long! 10am-9.30pm, online prices adult from £17.28/child 4+ from £11.07/under 4s FREE (Mar 29-Apr 1)

6. Easter Egg Hunts on Epping Ongar Railway, accessible from Epping tube (Zone 6)
Ride the award-winning steam railway, voted Heritage Railway of the Year, and search for eggs hidden by the Easter bunny along the journey. Fill in your answer sheet and bring it to the shop to collect your free egg! From 9am-all day, adult £12.50/child 3+ £7/under 3s FREE (Mar 30-31)

7. Easter Egg Hunt with Haribo at Battersea Park Zoo, Queenstown Rd, SW11 (Battersea Park rail)
The animals around the zoo are guarding hidden eggs. See how many you can find on this fun trail, with Haribo treats and tombola upon completion. Child must be accompanied by an adult. 10am-5pm, adult entry £8.75/child £6.50, egg hunt FREE (Mar 29-Apr 1)

8. Family Day: Alternative Easter Egg Hunt with Rococo at Design Museum, 28 Shad Thames, SE1 (Tower Hill/Tower Bridge tubes)
Grab a trail map and explore the current exhibitions to be rewarded with a chocolatey egg from Rococo Chocolates! 10am-4pm daily, adult £8.80/child under 12 FREE entry + £1 trail (Mar 29-Apr 1)

9. Eggtastic Easter Fun at V&A Museum of Childhood, Cambridge Heath Rd, E2 (Bethnal Green tube)
Hop along to the museum to hear the tale of the Hare and the Tortoise, play Bunny Games, make Easter egg basket or flower power sunglasses; and pick up a trail to hunt for chocolate eggs. 11am-4pm, FREE (Mar 29-Apr 1)

10. Cutty Sark Egg Hunt, at Cutty Sark, King William Walk, Greenwich SE10 (Cutty Sark DLR)
Embark on an epic hunt for Easter eggs laid by Cutty Sark’s chickens in mysterious places aboard the historic ship. Hunt is free with regular entry. 10am-5pm, adult £12/child 5-15 £6.50/under 5s FREE (Mar 29-Apr 1)
