Bee-Ball Basketball Hoop for Little Players

October 17, 2012 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Hoop

My 6-year-old is a mini basketball nut (along with his other sports obsessions), and the 3-year-old is fast following in his (wannabe) Air Jordans.

So when a popular Garden Games company offered me a chance to review the Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Hoop Stand*, I knew it would go down like a slam dunk.

I was really impressed by how fast and smooth the delivery was with emails sent to tell me when the order was being processed and when it was despatched (it arrived within 2 days).

The stand includes a backboard (with a cool image of a player dunking the ball), a plastic base that can be filled with water or sand and strong tubing and net.

When we opened the box, I did feel a chill run down my spine at the number of components, nuts and bolts. Luckily Babe Daddy came to the rescue with his handy tool kit and, following the clear instructions in the manual, assembled the stand without any major cussing fuss.

At first I couldn’t work out why he was putting it together in the living room when it’s clearly an outdoor set. But it turns out the top bit can be taken off fairly easily, so we were able to carry separate parts down the stairs to the back garden.

Bee-Ball Junior Basketball Stand

The Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Stand is aimed at juniors and worked out just the right height for both big and small ones to feel like pros. We had hours of fun shooting our foam ball at the hoop (Daddy banned the kids’ basketball so nobody wrecks the flower beds).

And guess who got the first basket? Jed! High-five little guy. The stand fits very nicely in our garden and would make a great gift for any kids ages 3+.

Whenever it’s not raining, Ezra and Jed head out for hoop practice. Watch out LeBron James, here come the babe ballers!

Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Hoop Stand is £74.99
