Little artists and their grown-ups are invited along with their favourite furry friends to draw a picture of themselves enjoying a picnic around museum objects in the Great Court. Inspired by the Grayson Perry exhibit and Grayson’s own teddy, Alan Measles. 11am-4pm, free, drop-in. (Oct 8 )

Definitely not a ‘kids disco’ but a family party that’s suitable for all ages, with live music from Real Fur, DJ spinning Motown, disco, pop, new wave, ska and reggae, baby-friendly facilities and quiet room upstairs. 3-6pm, £3 per head/£4 with live act, pre-walkers free. (Oct 9)
