Did you know that nearly two thirds of mums today are out and about within 48 hours of popping (or plucking) out their babies? Or that 1 in 5 modern mamas travels up to 5 miles a day with her little ones, double the distance of the previous generation?
I’m exhausted just thinking about it. The research was done by Tommee Tippee and spurred the launch of their new Wrap & Go nappy sacks, part of the popular Sangenic nappy disposal range.
Designed with busy mums in mind, NEW Sangenic Wrap & Go is a portable nappy sack dispenser unit that’s really easy to use. Small enough to fit in your bag, with a handy hook for strollers, it has a side opening where you can pull out nappy wraps and tear at the fold.
Once you’ve dumped that diaper inside, there’s an easy tie-handle and the best part is the bag is made to kill off 99.9% of bacteria and germs.
Since my 2-year-old is ‘transitioning’ into potty training, we were sent a Sangenic Wrap & Go to test. I like how simple and practical this product is, especially that you don’t lose any time going through your bag for those flimsy sacks that tear when you try to open them. The Sangenic sacks are sturdy, and the citrus scent is strong enough to mask its contents.
I will say that although it promises to ‘lock in odour’, and does quite well for a couple of hours, don’t expect it to combat those smells overnight.
Sangenic Wrap & Go was also approved by my sister-in-law when we were out and about with my baby niece and, after a quick change in Waterloo station, couldn’t seem to find a dustbin. We used one of my wraps, hung it on my stroller, and pretty much forgot about it until we reached our destination.
‘So where do I get one of these fancy wrap things then?’ asked the new mama.
Tommee Tippee’s NEW Sangenic Wrap & Go is available at a range of stores including Tesco, Mothercare, Boots, Asda, Morrisons and Kiddicare, priced at £4.99 inclusive of 30 wraps. More info at www.tommeetippee.co.uk
