Go sky high at the RAF Museum or stay ship shape at Unicorn Theatre in this weekend’s guide for London families.

Fri-Sun: One Little Word at Unicorn Theatre, Tooley St, SE1 (London Bridge)
Two friends play dress-up but problems start when they forget how to take turns. Can there only be ONE captain of the ship? Charming and inventive show for ages 3+. Adult £11/Child £9, 10.30am & 2pm. (May 18-22)

Fri-Sun: Peut-Etre Theatre: Draw Me a Bird at Chelsea Theatre, World’s End Place, Kings Rd SW10
Flight of fantasy for kids under 7 in this dance-theatre show about a little bird drawn to a Parisian musician. Inspired by poems of Jacques Prevert. £8, 10.30am & 1.30pm (Fri), 11.30am & 2.30pm (Sat-Sun). (May 19-24)

Sun: Scale Modellers on Display at RAF Museum, Grahame Park Way, NW9
The 3rd annual Hendon Scale Models festival with aircraft, marine craft, space & sci-fi and other miniatures, many on display next to the vehicles on which they’re based. 12pm, Free (May 22)

Sat-Sun: Children’s Festival at Highbury Fields, Islington N5
George Irvin’s summer programme launches with a weekend packed with fairground rides and amusements at this popular park. £1 entry, 1-9pm (May 21-22)
