Maypole dancers in central London? Sounds like a fete accompli. Plan your weekend with our handy family activities guide.

Fri-Sun: Kensington Dollshouse Festival, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton St W8
Be dazzled by the craftsmanship of more than 170 top designers from around the world at this annual gathering of dolls house, models and miniatures enthusiasts. 12-6pm (Fri), 10am-5pm (Sat), 10am-4.30pm (Sun). Go on an intergalactic adventure with Ted looking for that Great Teddy Bear in the Sky. There’s song and games aimed at under 7s in this popular weekly show. Adults £6.50/Kids £4.50/Members Free (May 14-15)

Sun: Family Day at Pump House Gallery, Battersea Park, SW11
A fun day out for young and old, with workshops and interactions inspired by the current production by experimental theatre company People Show 122. 11am-1pm, Free (May 15)

Sat: Village Fete at Brunswick Shopping Centre, Russell Sq, WC2
Get a taste of the country at this festive treat for all the family with maypole dancers, brass band, straw bales, circus skills workshops, beer tent, face painting and more. 11am onwards, Free (May 14)
