Will it be Oxford or Cambridge? Boats or goats? Whoever you’re rooting for this weekend, check out our picks for indoor and outdoor family entertainment.

Fri: LSO Discovery Family Lunchtime Concert, LSO St. Luke’s, Old St, EC1
Make music with the minis at this popular lunchtime concert series for under 5s held by the London Symphony Orchestra. Audience participation encouraged. 12.15-1.30pm. £1.50 per person, babies under 12 months free. Booking essential.

Sat: The Oxford and Cambridge Goat Race, Spitalfields City Farm, E1
While the hordes flock to the river banks to watch the Boat race, kids (ahem) in the know rush to catch the annual Goat Race in an afternoon of food, fun, face painting and of course a winners parade to round it off. From 1pm, Adult £4.40, Child £1.20
