One is an Island queen, the other was Hollywood (and real life) royalty. Both hot mamas redefined Grace and are the subjects of two must-see exhibitions this month.
The late, great Kelly’s wardrobe is now on display at the V&A until September. Grace Kelly: Style Icon features costumes from films like High Society as well as the gown she wore to collect her Oscar.
There are also over 35 couture gowns she wore as Princess Grace of Monaco, and accessories including that Hermes Kelly bag.
We suggest you take along an elegant handkerchief to catch the drool.
After fading from the limelight for more than a decade, Grace Jones’ star has been on the ascent.
Stillness at the Speed of Light is a series of 3D portraits of Jones by photographer Chris Levine (probably best known for his candid shots of HRH herself).
These photos, some of them lit by laser, bear testament to the strange relationship between artist and muse and promise to be truly out of this world.
The show also offers a chance to see the launch of Ms Jones’ new video, Love You to Life, directed by Levine.
Grace Kelly: Style Icon is at the V&A Museum in South Kensington from Apr 17-Sep 26
Stillness at the Speed of Light is at Vinyl Factory in Soho from Apr 29-May 15
