Mifold Portable Booster Seat (12 Days of Xmas 2016)

December 11, 2016 //  by Uju//  99 Comments

mifold portable booster seat

Every now and then, a product comes along that completely changes the game for parents of small kids. Today we’re excited to tell you about the mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat, something that could revolutionise the way you travel with your kids.

When you’re on the road with your children, it can be confusing trying to understand what type of booster seat they need. Apparently 35% of parents never travel with car seats, because they’re bulky and frankly, can be a pain to use. Especially if you’re riding in a taxi, a friend’s car or hopping about on holiday, it’s unlikely that you’ll have the right booster seat to keep your child safe.

But don’t forget, in the UK it is a legal requirement to have a child car seat or booster seat for any child travelling in a car under the age of 12 (or under 135 cm tall). Yet in one in three car journeys, kids use an adult seat belt with no booster and this is potentially fatal in a collision.

Now there’s a new way to move about — the mifold portable booster seat, 10 times smaller than your average booster seat. Regular booster seats lift a child up, whereas mifold holds the seatbelt down, offering 3 belt guides to provide the correct amount of restraint in case of impact.

mifold takes less than 30 seconds to install, and folds up to the size of an iPad meaning you can take it anywhere, from a glove compartment to your kid’s school bag. You can even fit 3-in-a-row across the back seats of the smallest cars. mifold is suitable for kids age 4 to 12, and for older kids (8 to 12) it looks cool and compact enough that they won’t feel ‘babyish’ sitting on a booster.

mifold launches at John Lewis this December but you can get your hands on one of these brilliant devices via our 12 Days of Xmas 2016 giveaways!
