Michiko and Me: Taking Action against Hunger

June 24, 2013 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

Michiko and Me baby bib

Some bibs are made for grown-ups to drool over.

Take this gorgeous Liberty print bib by luxury kids brand Michiko and Me.

Founder and mum of two Nicky Lumb conceived the line of stylish, durable kids’ clothing designed from classic Liberty prints.

Michiko and Me kimono

The Michiko and Me range is proudly Made in Britain but has an international flavour — its feature products include stunning kimono dresses and tops for girls and boys.

Michiko and Me partners with Action Against Hunger

Michiko and Me has taken the extra step of partnering with international aid organisation Action Against Hunger, offering 10% of all proceeds to the charity that aims to end hunger worldwide.

Founder Nicky says, ‘My younger daughter ended up in hospital as she couldn’t feed and the experience of being unable to feed my own child was very painful. Many people aren’t in a position where they can access the great care we can, so I wanted to work with an organisation who directly addressed this most basic necessity – nutrition.’

Michiko and Me Mirabelle Kimono

Action Against Hunger works in 40 countries worldwide, addressing the underlying causes of hunger by promoting sustainable projects in areas like agriculture, sanitation and disaster support.

One Iroka gift set purchased through Michiko and Me could provide special therapeutic food packs for a child for a week.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to go shopping.
