The Babe Daddy has a birthday coming up and I’m on the hunt for a cool gift.
Back in the era BHD (before hot dogs), when he had a little more time to play, I could always rely on getting him the latest version of FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer.
Surrounded as I am by gamers (Ezra requested FIFA 13 for Christmas) I was happy to discover the Green Man Gaming web site.
Green Man Gaming is a digital retailer that stocks new pc games, along with the latest action for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
You can buy or preorder pretty much anything on the most wanted list for gamers including Batman Arkham Origin, Mortal Kombat, Company of Heroes 2 and a bunch of other intense-looking titles I’ve never heard of.
Green Man Gaming is unique in that customers are now able to trade-in digitally downloaded games for credit that can be used towards new purchases.
That’s a handy feature, because judging by the games gathering dust on our shelves, quite a few of them lose their lustre after a few plays.
They’ve also got some impressive looking deals on the site, for instance FIFA 14 at £37.99 (30% off) and Call of Duty: Ghosts, hotly anticipated for November, available on pre-purchase at £34.99 (36% off).
One that caught my eye is the F1 2012 Formula One driving game that’s aimed at people ages 3 and up. My 4-year-old is just working up the nerve to play Mario Kart with his older brother and I can imagine both of them loving the ultra cool cares they get to race with.
It actually looks saner than one that Green Man Gaming lists as family-friendly, City Bus, whose description reads: ‘If you want to rampage through the city, ignoring traffic regulations and destroying everything in your way, you just found a right game for you.’
Then again, that sounds like your average toddler on a day out!
