POW! A Croquet Game for Little Hands

September 5, 2011 //  by Uju//  Leave a Comment

The warm season’s drawing to a close but the little ones can keep that outdoor feeling going with this adorable Animal Croquet set by French wooden toy specialists, Janod.

It comes with six numbered hoops, all lovingly crafted to look like cute farm animals, along with two balls and two detachable mallets. The set’s quite portable and can be played indoors or out in the park or on the lawn (if the grass is low enough).

Ezra and Jed, new fans of croquet thanks to the Jiminy Wicket games outside Foyles at Southbank Centre throughout summer, instantly leapt on this set when it arrived for review.

It’s easy to put together and I love that Animal Croquet keeps both my 5-year-old and my 2-year-old busy without getting too competitive!

It would make a sweet birthday gift as it’s ideal for parties or just knocking about on the carpet at home. Anyone for croquet?

Animal Croquet set by Janod, around £20 at a variety of stockists
